Hello! It's nice to meet you.
My name is John Pullen and I am an aviation-loving writer. I created John Pullen Writes as a way to explore the aviation industry and to pursue my passions as a freelance writer. Outside of these passions, I am an avid traveler, reader, and business nerd. I am so excited you're here and can't wait to connect!
My Story
Aviation has been a part of my life from a young age, with my father working for the Federal Aviation Administration. As I grew, I found myself fascinated by all aspects of aviation- but particularly the management of major carriers. How do airlines decide to where to fly, or how to configure their planes when just one row of seats can make the difference between profitability or extinction? I pursued these passions and found myself accepting a role as Editor-in-Chief of AeroXplorer, where I oversaw a team of journalists while composing articles exploring the aviation industry. Eventually, I worked in Ground Operations at Denver International Airport for Southwest Airlines, where I was able to witness the industry operate at one of the busiest hubs in the nation. With all of these experiences under my belt, I have formed John Pullen Writes to report on and explore the airline industry, while offering my services to help other sources take their reporting to new heights.
