Nice to meet you!
Nice to meet you!

Oh, look! Another travel blogger has come to tell you about a new, niche destination they discovered across the planet. It requires two 10-hour flights, a ferry ride bound to inflict sea-sickness upon you, and half of your life savings to reach. All the while, they assure you the destination makes the treacherous and costly journey worth it. Why haven’t you started packing?

If you’re anything like me, it is probably because you have work in the morning.

Hello! My name is John Pullen and I welcome you to John Pullen Writes, a travel blog for the everyday, would-be traveler. If you desire to see the country-or perhaps the world- with the precious little time you have away from your daily obligations, then you have reached the right place. Through this blog, I am committed to sharing feasible travel ideas and honest stories sprouted from my time exploring the United States and the world beyond.

Make no mistake, I have tremendous respect and admiration for the skilled travelers and writers that have turned exploring into a career. But I simply aim to inspire those of us who cannot throw caution to the wind in pursuit of a nomadic lifestyle.

Mission: To bring positivity and travel inspiration to reader’s lives through entertaining, informative, and occasionally-introspective storytelling.

This mission is one that has grown extremely important to me, especially as someone who works (and enjoys) a full-time job. I view travel as one of the most liberating and rewarding things we can do for our souls. But in a world that constantly competes for our time, travel is quickly pushed out to another weekend, another month, or even another year.

I firmly believe that this is a result of social media inflating our standards for what travel truly is. Through John Pullen Writes, I hope to remind both myself and my audience of how quick, simple trips can be just as impactful as visits to the far-flung destinations we see online.

I sincerely thank you for being here. Your support is greatly appreciated, and I hope you will read on to feel inspired, hear a great story, or learn from my many mistakes when exploring this beautiful world of ours.
